Denis O'Hara

Dr Denis O’Hara is Adjunct Professor of Counselling at the University of the Sunshine Coast and Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia and Director of the Hope Research and Practice Institute. Denis has taught counselling and psychology in the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Australia and now focuses on offering professional development and supervision, while maintaining his research interests. One of his key areas of research and publication is on the topic of hope. His book, Hope in Counselling and Psychotherapy, explores the nature of hope and how counsellors and psychotherapists work with hope in therapy.
