Barbara Pearlman

Dr Barbara Pearlman PhD.,DipClnPsych.,CPsychol.,DipGrpPsych. Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Honorary Fellow at the Centre for Clinical Neuropsychology Research, University of Exeter, Clinical Associate Independent Psychology Service (IPS). In 2010, she was awarded a PhD for her theoretical work on the neurobiology of how emotions and language are processed in eating disorders, which led to the creation of a new treatment: Internal Language Enhancement Therapy (ILET). Barbara has worked with patients and researched into eating disorders over 30 years. She has created and supervised clinics in both the NHS and private sectors.
