Ruella Frank


Ruella Frank, Ph.D., is founder and director of the Center for Somatic Studies, faculty at the New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy, guest faculty Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy and Training, adjunct faculty, Gestalt Institute of Toronto, and teaches throughout the United States, Europe, Eurasia, South America, Canada, and Mexico. Ruella has authored articles and chapters in various publications, as well as the book Body of Awareness: A Somatic and Developmental Approach to Psychotherapy, available in four languages (GestaltPress, 2001) and co-authored The First Year and the Rest of Your Life: Movement, Development and Psychotherapeutic Change, available in four languages (Routledge Press, 2010). Her new book, The Bodily Roots of Experience in Psychotherapy (Routledge Press, 2022) is now available.
