James Emmett


James Emmet is a qualified counsellor and experienced clinical supervisor, trainer and leader within the field of mental health. Over the last 15 years James has worked with children and young people in education and community settings. Since joining Place2Be in 2013, James has developed and supervised the Greater Manchester Area, supervised their MPACT (parental substance misuse family group work programme) and delivered Mental Health and Leadership training to school leaders as part of a Government Trailblazer Project. Now as Regional Clinical Lead for the North and the Midlands, James has led on rolling out the Journey of Hope groupwork programme to all primary schools, co-designed whole class sessions for school based staff to deliver with teachers, supported the Art Room team to develop Virtual Creative Wellbeing sessions for schools, and is currently developing a Racial Identity groupwork programme for secondary schools.
