Mike Mecozzi, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist, author, and speaker who specializes in utilizing ACT to help clients master anxiety and depression. Dr. Mecozzi runs a private practice with his wife, and he has trained clinicians in utilizing the ACT model for over 15 years. Richard Sears, PsyD, PhD, MBA, ABPP, is a licensed psychologist, board-certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP); he runs a private practice and consultation, and is the director of the Center for Clinical Mindfulness & Meditation. He has led hundreds of mindfulness groups and was the lead clinician in the first brain scan study involving mindfulness with children. Dr. Sears is a sixth-degree black belt in Ninjutsu and once served as a personal protection agent for the Dalai Lama. He has studied Eastern Wisdom for over 40 years, receiving ordination in three traditions and transmission as a Zen master.
