Senior Adviser

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37 per week *Flexible working options available: part time applications will be considered on a job-share basis or stand alone with sufficient hours for the role to be covered. If applying on a part-time or job-share basis please state the hours you require to work. Being able to work flexibly where required which will include evenings, occasional weekends/residentials.

Location: Norwich with some travel to our offices in Great Yarmouth and Kings Lynn

Salary: Starting salary £30,120 per annum with incremental progression based on performance to £32,601 per annum

The Generalist Advice Service at MAP offers advice on a range of issues that affect young people, such as Housing, Benefits, Debt, Sexual Health and Employment. We operate primarily via drop ins in Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Kings Lynn. As a Senior Adviser you will join the Advice Management Team to lead on and deliver this work.

We are currently looking for a self motivated, hands on and autonomous Senior Adviser to provide advice to young people and line management to advisers in the team. This role will primarily focus on supporting our generalist drop in service, based in Norwich but with occasional travel to our sites in Great Yarmouth and Kings Lynn. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience, preferably in line management and social welfare advice, or will demonstrate a keen understanding and ability to learn these areas of work.

Senior Advisers at MAP are provided with appropriate relevant training in Social Welfare Advice alongside a management training course, with the opportunity to complete a L3 ILM.
