London Centre for Psychodrama

The London Centre for Psychodrama is registered with the British Psychodrama Association (BPA) as an accredited training organisation, and with the Federation for European Psychodrama Training Organisations (FEPTO). Our professional Diploma in Individual and Group Psychotherapy leads to UKCP registration as a Psychotherapist in the Humanistic and Integrative School of UKCP.

  • A one year Certificate/ Foundation Course for new trainees or professionals seeking add-on skills and CPD hours
  • A further three year training programme to Diploma level as a Group and Individual Psychodrama Psychotherapist
  • Post qualifying MA in Psychodrama at Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge
  • A one year accredited Creative Supervision Diploma for those already qualified in their profession

(London) Psychodrama Experiential Weekend

Psychodrama Experiential Workshop with Anna Chesner, UKCP reg psychotherapist, BPA reg Practitioner and Senior Trainer. These run four times a year and are open to those people seeking an experience of psychodrama and wishing to engage in some personal work. Anna’s approach draws on psychodynamic, existentialist and systemic traditions as well as her experiences as a psychotherapist, dramatherapist and playback theatre practitioner. The weekends are designed to give an opportunity for personal exploration and development in a safe environment, as well as an understanding and experience of the method. Psychodrama is a deep psychological method of psychotherapy using role, symbolisation and enactment. Please discuss with Anna if you are not currently in personal therapy.

In this weekend we look at different theories about depression, and explore how psychodrama psychotherapy can help us understand the experience of depression and assist in working through the significant internal and external conflicts that may underpin depression. With Anna Chesner and Chris Andrews This workshop is open to members of the public. No prior experience of psychodrama is required. We also welcome diploma or certificate trainees from other psychodrama training schools and professionals who have a particular interest in psychodrama or the topic for the weekend. These workshops are intended to provide an experience of psychodrama and although they are therapeutic they are not intended as a means of providing psychotherapy. A weekend counts as 16 psychodrama/ CPD hours.

In this weekend we engage with the wider social perspective and explore the application of Morenian techniques to facilitate lively and thoughtful engagement with this dimension.
