The Welsh Psychotherapy Institute (WPI) is recruiting a First Year Tutor and a First Year Assistant Tutor for the forthcoming academic year. This is an opportunity for involvement in an exciting new phase of WPI’s development.
WPI offers an Advanced Diploma in Gestalt and Integrative Psychotherapy that leads to UKCP registration with the Humanistic and Integrative College (HIPC).
The post holder will be an experienced UKCP humanistic therapist and supervisor. Mentoring and support are available to develop the training acumen required.
The First Year Tutor will deliver the programme from the WPI handbook. The post holder will be responsible for creating a safe therapeutic learning environment for students. WPI aims to recruit students from a wide variety of backgrounds and the First Year Tutor will need the skills to support students through the challenges of their initial year of training.
The post holder will work closely with the Assistant Tutor and with the tutor group to develop the training.
The role could be undertaken on a Job-Share basis, e.g. divided between Integrative and Gestalt aspects of the syllabus. Successful candidates will be invited to join a small team of enthusiastic and committed tutors, well supported by our Administrator and by our Board of Directors.
Welsh Psychotherapy Institute is a small, friendly, not-for–profit training organisation. We hold to a Relational ethos within all our courses and in our contact with students and with one another. We welcome applications from people who are interested in contributing to the development of the organisation.
