Whereas Lacan has been popular in universities, critical theory, art theory etc in UK and USA for many years, his work has more recently been seen as important/useful in the psychoanalytic clinic. The workshop will introduce some key Lacanian concepts from a clinical perspective by way of a reading of published clinical material – classical and contemporary. This introduction may appeal to the ‘mildy curious’ or those struggling with a particular clinical issue and who would welcome another perspective along with a chance to discuss Lacanian concepts and clinical practice with colleagues.
