Tools and Strategies to Help Relationships Thrive with Susan Johnson

One of the first warning signs of the impact of lockdown on the nation’s mental health was the rise in divorce applications, followed by some extremely disturbing data around domestic violence. Clearly, the coronavirus crisis is taking a severe toll on many couples – while for others, this relationship will be a key resource for getting them through.

Clinical psychologist and author Sue Johnson is the founder of Emotionally Focused Couples and Family Therapy, a couples intervention that is also used to address individual depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress, and to repair family bonds. Beginning with a discussion of attachment bonds, Sue will explore the mental health impact of COVID-19  through an attachment lens – and share tools for helping our clients navigate disconnection.
